Dr. Kate fouquier

Dr. Fouquier is a certified nurse-midwife and the concentration coordinator of the Doctor of Nurse Practice Nurse Midwifery specialty tract in the UTHSC College of Nursing. She has over 44 years of experience delivering interprofessional primary healthcare to adolescent, minority populations and has attended over 1000 births!

Dr. Fouquier’s clinical and research interests have focused on the concept of motherhood, health disparities in women’s health, adolescent health, and trauma-informed care.

As an advocate for women’s health and normal birth, Dr. Fouquier is a member and a Fellow of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and the Tennessee Nursing Association.
